Typical Applications
Operation Principle
The Pneumatic Soft Seal Lug Butterfly Valve operates through compressed air (typically 0.4-0.6MPa) acting on the pneumatic actuator’s piston or diaphragm. This rotational force is transmitted to the valve stem, causing a 90° rotation of the disc. In the open position, the disc is parallel to flow with minimal pressure drop. When closed, the disc rotates perpendicular to flow, with the resilient seat compressing against the disc edge for bubble-tight shutoff (ANSI Class VI). The lug-style design features threaded inserts for bolting between pipe flanges without requiring nuts on the downstream side.
